Whatizit #5

So, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen one of these?  I found it permanently affixed to the street on my way to the City Diner here in the neighborhood. It appears to be made out of the striping paint for the roads. Thick and rubbery. I tried to peel it up but it ain't moving. Is it a one of a kind or part of some protest or political Logo. Got any ideas?  If so please to comment.

Oh yes, people have been finding them around here the past week, too. They apparently are squashed aliens. Funny thing, if you stick a quarter in one of the slots, they peel right off and scurry away.

I think it's hologram of Bristol Palin's ex-boyfriend....Levi Johnson, created by Sarah for talking bad about her family.

according to the web (a source of unbelieveable trash and treasure) they are all over and I quote

"...city drivers in general do not have the same kind respect for crosswalks. Those little people painted there respresent pedestrians who have been run over and smushed because they made the mistake of expecting cars to stop when they set out to cross the street. They serve as a reminder to other unwary walkers to act like Jack - that is, be nimble and be quick!

Edit - Just kidding!

Actually, they are really just an indication that you are supposed to cross in the cross walk. There have been a lot of pedestrians killed trying to jay walk across streets so the city is trying to raise awareness of pedestrian safety.
